This strong, imposing three year old was purchased at the Doncaster May Store Sale and looks
a cracking addition to our team, being from a family we know very well!
A third foal, he is a half–brother to our dual hurdles winner Weaver’s Answer but our new
purchase is certainly by some way the best physical out of the mare to date, which is very
exciting.
The dam was a wide–margin winner over hurdles for us, but more importantly she is a half–
sister to our stable star Eva’s Oskar, a Grade 3 winner around Cheltenham and, as I’m sure you
know, one that got away in the Grand National in 2023!
It’s a really high–class National Hunt family, as Oskar’s Eva’s other siblings include Graded
hurdler/chasers Amore Alato (Racing Post Rating 148) and Solomon Grey (Racing Post Rating
145), as well as two other winning mares. Furthermore, the granddam Sardagna was a six–
time winner with an RPR of 131.
Jack Hobbs is undoubtedly one of the most promising young sires in the UK and he has several
exciting young prospects coming through at present, both under rules and from the Irish
pointing field.
This unnamed three year old is currently being broken in and has done everything we’ve asked
of him to date. He is a lovely individual and I think he has a very big future, so he looks a
fantastic buy at £25,000 + VAT (includes purchase, vetting, transport and keep to 31st July
2025).
