Ruling Planet (IRE)

2022 Bay Gelding by Teofilo ex Skiffle (Dubawi)

£48,500 + VAT

This goodmoving, scopey threeyearold boasts an impeccable pedigree and is as exciting a prospect
as any Godolphin castoff I have seen in recent years.

He is a halfbrother to Natural World, who was a blacktype performer on the flat and achieved a
Racing Post Rating of 106 over 1m2f, having also won over 1m3f.

The dam, Skiffle, won a Listed race over 1m2f on just her second career start and was placed at Group
3 level behind Group 1 performer Somehow. She is a halfsister to Golden Town, who was a classy sort
on the flat (RPR107) and went on to record an RPR of 128 over hurdles, winning four times. Her other
siblings include the dam of Desert Order (RPR 101 on flat), while the third dam is packed with black
type and includes dual Grade 1 (including Triumph Hurdle) winner Quilixios.

I purchased a threeyearold son of Teofilo from Godolphin a few years ago, Ocean Wind, who won a
Listed bumper, finished sixth in the Champion Bumper and then went on to finish second to
Stradivarius at Group 3 level on the flat, recording a Racing Post Rating of 116.

All the above is before taking into consideration one of the exceptional nicks in the sport. From 19
individual colts/geldings bred on the Teofilo/Dubawi cross, no fewer than seven have achieved Racing
Post Ratings of 109+ on the flat. These include Melbourne Cup winner Without A Fight, who didn’t
start off until a midsummer threeyearold.

He comes recommended from the yard he is a very straightforward type and they had done very
little with him prior to a break in March. He is now ready to crack on with straight away and, on
pedigree and as a physical, he has the profile of a potentially topclass bumper prospect, with the
possibility of going over hurdles in due course. £48,500 + VAT.
