Trixster has been in really good form this year and the nine year old made an impressive transition to chasing when scoring at Southwell yesterday under Charlie Price.

He hadn’t run over fences since a third at Hexham in October 2019 on his chasing debut, but looked completely at home over the larger obstacles, hitting the front four out and coming home well clear, eventually winning by 17 lengths.

The handicapper will certainly have his say now, so we may well look to run him under a penalty next week, or revert to hurdles (which would avoid the penalty).  Congratulations to his owners in the Pant Wilkin Partnership!
