Mourzouk has done nothing but improve since being sent over hurdles and the five year old followed up last month’s easy Ffos Las success with a much harder-fought win in a stronger race at Warwick yesterday evening.

He was awarded the race in the stewards’ room, having been hampered and lost a shoe when forced to switch after the final hurdle.  He was closing fast at the line and would have got up in another couple of strides, so the stewards saw enough to switch the placings.

He is a really tough and game individual and we look forward to his next run, when he will be bidding for a hat-trick of wins. The race was sponsored by John Bolton, who has been an owner with us for several years and was celebrating being awarded an OBE.  John has shares both in Mourzouk (with Pimlico Racing) and Prison Break (who finished third), and had plenty of family and friends along for the evening, so we were delighted to train him a winner!  There are still a few shares available – for further information please head to pimlicoracing.co.uk or call Nathaniel on 07890 672435.
