Invincible De Mee

Invincible De Mee

2018 gelding by Authorized
ex Koeur De Mee (Video Rock)

A strong, athletic four year old, this gelding boasts placed form in bumpers, and hails from one of the very best jumping pedigrees in France.  A close fourth on debut last year, when finishing under a length off subsequent three-time winner and class 1-placed chaser Ironique, he ran much better than the result suggests on a couple of other occasions, not least when beaten less than 2L into sixth behind some useful hurdlers at Niort last June.  He has a break and returned with a cracking third in a bumper at the beginning of August on what was his first attempt beyond 1m6f.  He was giving weight to the first and second that day, with the former having shown winning form over hurdles this summer and having finished fifth at Auteuil on his previous start.

Just a four year old, Invincible De Mee has considerable scope to build on that career-best effort last time and his pedigree offers huge encouragement that there is more to come from him.  His siblings include four black-type performersnotably this year’s Grade 1 Maghull Novices’ Chase winner Gentleman De Mee,  who has achieved a racing post rating of 167 who is currently fourth favourite for the Queen Mother Champion Chase, as well as As De Mee, who achieved a RPR rating of 154 who won the Grand Sefton at Aintree and the Grade 3 EBF Final at Sandown Park for champion trainer Paul Nicholls.

On pedigree and physique, there should be plenty of improvement to come once sent jumping and we’ll get him schooling in the coming week.  Horses like him are very hard to find and are rarely on the market, so I was delighted to be able to acquire him.  Hopefully he can develop into a useful novice over hurdles in the season ahead, before coming into his own over fences in due course.  I would hope to have him on the racetrack in mid-October and would run over hurdles through the winter.  We are selling shares based on the following costs:
