Mourzouk is on a sharp upward curve and the five year old recorded a quickfire hat-trick with victory at Newton Abbot yesterday under Charlie Price.

Having scored in maiden and then novice company in recent weeks, he faced a stiffer task on his handicap debut, taking on experienced handicappers in what looked a fair contest, despite the small field.  Sent out in front by Charlie, he tended to jump right at his hurdles, but produced another very game performance and was never headed at any stage, coming home clear to win by over 4 lengths.

We’ll wait to see what the handicapper does before making any plans for him, but we’ll likely give him a bit longer before his next run – hopefully we can find a suitable spot to give him every chance of making it a four-timer!  Congratulations to his owners in the Pimlico Racing syndicate, which is run by Nat Barnett.  There are still a few shares available, so please visit for further details.
