A half-brother to former stable star Debece, Dalamoi has always looked a lovely horse in the making at home and following a highly-promising fifth on his seasonal reappearance in a hot bumper at Cheltenham last month, he got off the mark on his hurdling debut at Ffos las yesterday.
He raced handily throughout under Alan Johns, who was alive to the fact there had been a steady pace, and sent Dalamoi into the lead before the turn for home. Dalamoi gamely saw off all challenges in the home straight and was going clear again at the line.
As his pedigree and physique would suggest, he is very much a staying chaser for the future and we’ll be stepping him up from two miles next time. He is an exciting prospect for the future and congratulations to his owners Nikki and Brian Ead on yesterday’s win!
