A week on from routing the opposition on his second start for us at Newcastle, William Money passed a significantly tougher test with flying colours at Ludlow yesterday, in doing so landing a good prize to take his earnings to over £10,000 in the week.

Taken on for the lead from the start, he was headed by the eventual runner-up at the sixth fence and, thereafter, was the only one that looked to be travelling behind the front-runner, the pair drawing clear on the final circuit.  William Money briefly looked in trouble on the turn for home, but he responded really gamely to pressure and, with a fitness edge on the runner-up, who had been off for over a year, he drew clear from the last to win by eight lengths.

He will now have a quiet week or so and we’ll look for something for him in mid-March, with the possibility of going over hurdles next.
