Our Stable Tour in the Racing Post Weekender came out today and it was nice to see a double-page spread as we now have plenty of good horses to be showing off! Space in the ‘Straight from the Stable’ pullout is limited though and I wasn’t responsible for choosing which horses went in and which didn’t, so please don’t worry if you have an interest in one that was omitted on this occasion!

The two-page article also provides some interesting statistics, not least that we have a 21% strike-rate at Aintree, which obviously bodes well for Beshabar going in the National in April!!

The promised sunshine has arrived and we were treated to a beautiful morning on the gallops. Pictured above is Beshabar (Tom David) upsides Silky Bob (Rob Kirk), a five year old son of Bob Back who is a half-brother to the very useful hurdler In The Forge.

Architrave (pictured right, Alex Lopushanskyy) was a leading juvenile hurdler at this time last season and he appears to have done well over the summer. He should be out in 6-8 weeks time and we are just stepping up his work at present.

Another for whom we have high hopes this season is Aland Islands (pictured left, Michael Byrne), who won on his only start in a Bumper at Exeter last season and is a really exciting prospect for his new owner J P McManus.
