The recent rain has allowed us to start schooling the horses on the grass again, and we took advantage of that this morning, with three lots going over hurdles.

With Racing UK in this morning doing a feature on the yard, there was a little more pressure on the workriders than would normally be the case! Thankfully, all the horses were foot-perfect and we will be looking to run plenty of them in the coming two-three weeks.

Pictured above is Elsafeer (Katie Ash), a new recruit to the yard for Delamere Cottage Racing Partners (1996) who should be out soon in a novice hurdle.

It has been brilliant to see Christian Williams back in the saddle after his lengthy spell on the sidelines and he is not too far away from returning to raceriding – he is pictured here on Bottman, who showed a useful level of form over hurdles last year and looks the sort to continue his progression over fences this season.
