I was delighted to welcome over 250 owners and friends to the yard and, with plenty of excellent food and drink on offer and the luxury of a warm afternoon, it was a very enjoyable occasion.
The parade of 80 horses featured established stables stars such as Saint Are, as well as several new arrivals, including the 20 stores that we have purchased in recent months, all of which have now been broken in.
Following the parade, there was an opportunity to see several of our leading lights for the winter months on the gallops, including new arrival Barbatos, who is a fantastic prospect to go novice chasing this term, as well as some of our summer jumpers that will be in action in the coming weeks, amongst them Hawkhill and Solaras Exhibition, both of whom are likely runners in the Summer Champion Hurdle at Perth on Saturday.
Also on show was the new sand school, completed last month, as well as the circular canter, which is due to be completed in the next fortnight and which I am sure, will be a big asset to us in the future. It was also the first time many of our owners had seen the three new barns, one of which houses three additional horse walkers, that were built earlier this year.
A big thank you to all the staff for their hard work in preparing for the day and to all our owners for coming along and joining us!
