Falcarragh has been in fine form so far this season and, following victories at Stratford and Worcester earlier this month, he completed the hat-trick under Alan Johns at Newton Abbot yesterday.

He looked happier with something to give him a lead, having made the running at Worcester last time but, having taken up the running entering the home straight, he started wandering around in front and there were a few nervous moments from the final flight to the winning post, with the winning margin just a head!

He still looks a little babyish and I am sure he will be a better horse when faced with a stronger gallop, so he is an exciting prospect for novice handicapping this term, though we may look to go for a four-timer in level weights company next time out.
