Fourth on his recent hurdling debut at Perth, The Wallace Line showed the benefit of that experience with a battling win at Fontwell Park yesterday under Richard Johnson.
A maiden in nine starts on the flat for his previous connections, he was purchased by Diamond Racing earlier this year with a view to going juvenile hurdling and the son of Mastercraftsman has taken very well to the new discipline, as his hurdling was largely fluent throughout until an untimely mistake at the last.
However, though he went a neck or so down after the final flight, he showed great tenacity to rally up the run-in, regaining the lead with 100 yards to go and keeping on strongly to win.

Congratulations to his owners Diamond Racing and hopefully he can go on to further success in the coming weeks.
