We have a good team of juveniles this season and Swnymor became the latest to get off the mark with an exciting winning hurdling debut at Newbury yesterday under Michael Byrne.

A 70,000gns purchase from the Newmarket Horses In Training sale in October, Swnymor showed a very good level of form on the flat for his previous connections and had done everything we had asked of him at home since joining us.

Though a little keen in the early stages, he jumped well throughout and when Michael asked him to pick up I thought the response was impressive in the heavy ground.  It was by no means a strong juvenile contest, but he does look a very promising recruit for his owner Carl Hinchy and it would be lovely to think he might be able to make up into a Triumph Hurdle horse come the spring, though we are likely to keep things relatively low-key with him for the time being.
