We have not had many runners so far this month, with the majority of our string around 3-4 weeks off a run, but I was delighted to see Solaras Exhibition come back to form with a battling win in a 1m4f handicap at Ffos Las.

He is the type to improve with racing each season and, excused his disappointing effort at Yarmouth last time, where the 2m trip didn’t suit, he produced a very game display yesterday, always travelling well under David Probert and quickening in good style when asked approaching the final furlong.

Though he will remain on a good mark on the flat, he also has options over hurdles (off a fair mark of 126) or over fences and hopefully he can add to this success on his next outing.
