First lot heading to the schooling grounds

We schooled nearly 70 horses this morning and I was delighted with results!

Pearn’s Pharmacies Ltd’s Figaro schooled nicely over tyres and he should only be a couple of weeks off making his eagerly-awaited hurdling debut, while I was very pleased with our recent acquisitions Lecale Lad, Oscars Den, Power Of God and Tipsy Gypsy, who all just had a pop over hurdles.

Sash Of Honour (pictured nearside, Michael Byrne) looked a good juvenile recruit when second over hurdles at Newbury last month and he went nicely with Safferano (far side, Ross Coleman), who wasn’t able to show his true colours on his hurdling debut at Uttoxeter earlier in the season but has been pleasing at home recently.

Dual juvenile winner Alborz (Richie Killoran) might go back on the flat next, but he schooled over eight flights to keep his eye in, following Hidden Identity (Jason Kiely), who looked in great nick and may go to Plumpton on Monday in her bid for a third win of the season.
