CqKInCmXEAALtRBA winner on his second start over hurdles at Chepstow in April, Satellite had a good spell in the paddocks over the summer, and made the perfect return to the racecourse when winning at Fontwell Park yesterday under Richard Johnson.

He was a little novicey over some of his hurdles, but he settled nicely and was left a long way clear when the early leader fell four from home.

Being in front for so long on his first run back certainly wasn’t ideal and he got tired up the run-in, but he always had plenty in hand and the run should bring him on plenty.

He is likely to switch to handicap company next time and we’ll look for some softer ground for him. Now two from three over timber, he has a very bright future and hopefully he can record the hat-trick next time. Congratulations to his owners Paul and Louise Bowtell!
