We schooled several of our exciting novices this morning and again I was delighted with how the session went, none more so than with Saint Are, who was really fluent over the fences and for whom the 2m4f Matalan Novices’ Chase at Aintree later this month is very much the target.

War Of The World has been absent since last January and it seems a very long time since he fell when travelling very well in a hot handicap chase at Cheltenham in October 2009. However, I am pleased to write that he seems in really good form at home again and he was another to have schooled very well (pictured above left with Saint Are). We are planning on giving him a run over hurdles, which could be in the Grade 2 Persian War novices’ hurdle at Chepstow on Saturday 22nd October.
