It has been an interesting few days, with Friday’s snow staying put over the weekend and an extra burst this morning covering the yard once again!
Thankfully, everyone has been able to get into work (though I did have to operate something of a ‘school bus’ system on Friday!) and we have managed to keep the horses ticking over.
Pictured above is Pure Anticipation, who like many of the horses appears to really be enjoying the conditions, though perhaps not as much as Thelobstercatcher, who decided to lie down and have a roll halfway up the gallops yesterday!

Racing this weekend appears very much in doubt, especially at Cheltenham, where we have Tartak entered in the Grade 3 handicap chase on what is a stellar card. We also have Saint Are engaged in the Great Yorkshire Chase at Doncaster, though he undoubtedly needs better ground to be seen to best effect.
We have several potentially exciting novices to bring out in the near future but, again, underfoot conditions just aren’t suitable at present and we won’t be rushing to bring them out.
