A useful bumper performer in his native Ireland, Nathans Pride is quickly developing into a good young hurdler and he made it three wins from his last four starts with a very easy success at Uttoxeter yesterday.

Racing keenly, he was a little novicey at some of his hurdles but hit the front before three out and was always in control from there, eventually coming clear to win by 17 lengths.
He must have a sound surface (his first two runs over here came on soft ground), on which his career record now reads 11U1211 and he should make a very bold bid to win his fourth novice hurdle of the season next time.
A full brother to the high-class, Grade 3-winning chaser Pride Of The Artic, he has already matched that one’s achievements over hurdles and, longer-term, we are all looking forward to seeing Nathans Pride going chasing.
