We sent two runners to Sedgefield yesterday and so nearly came home with two winners, handicap debutant Western Prize just failing to hold on under Michael Byrne.

However, half an hour later we were celebrating the win of My Oh Mount Brown, who was given a really good ride by the excellent Bradley Gibbs.

Always front rank, he quickened the pace down the back and never saw another rival.  It was My Oh Mount Brown’s first win under rules, but I hope he can progress further now and, longer term, he’ll be one to go novice handicap chasing.  I’m delighted for his owners Craig and Maureen Buckingham, who are great supporters of ours.

I am hopeful of further success at Bangor tomorrow, where we run the promising Jimbill in the novice chase and Hexham scorer Great Oak in the mares novice hurdle.  Both are in really good form at home and, though they both concede weight all round, they look to have solid claims.
