Miracle House had been unlucky not to have got his head in front since making his debut for the yard in the spring, twice finishing runner-up, but a recent wind operation had seen some improvement on the gallops and he deservedly shed his maiden tag at the 18th attempt over hurdles at Ffos Las yesterday, hitting the front two out and repelling two late challenges under a good ride from Richard Johnson.

It was not a bad contest for the time of year and I am hopeful that he will gain plenty of confidence for the success – he is certainly capable of going in again in similar company in the coming weeks.

That win has now brought Ffos Las level with Worcester as our most successful course over the last five seasons – hopefully, Worcester can pull ahead again as we have several entered there next Wednesday!
