Tara MacTara Mac (pictured right) has clearly returned from her summer break in fine form and she ran her best race yet over fences with a gusty win at Stratford yesterday under Sam Twiston-Davies.

Held up in the early stages, she jumped fluently throughout and made steady headway on the final circuit.  Sent upsides on the long run to the last, she was joined at the final fence by stablemate Normandy King and the two looked set to fight out a tight finish.  However, Normandy King pecked badly on landing and that left Tara Mac clear, coming home by five lengths.

Normandy KingI am delighted for owners Brian and Wayne Jones, whilst there was plenty of promise in Normandy King’s (pictured left) run on what was just his second run over fences and he looks sure to continue to progress this term.
