Lord Lir jumping the last

Lord Lir took a while to get off the mark, but the nine year old is in the form of his life at present and another well-judged front-running ride from Richard Johnson saw him supplement his wide-margin Cartmel success with another win at Worcester yesterday.

Once again jumping fluently, he went a long way clear and, though he was closed down in the home straight, he kept on very well after the last to win by just over three lengths.  He should make a very bold bid for the hat-trick.

Returning to the winners’ enclosure

We came close to further success on the night, with Experamentalist finishing a close second in the selling hurdle and Uncle Tone filling the same position in his bid for a second course success in novice company.  Hopefully it will not be long before they get their heads in front once again!
