We have three runners tomorrow, with Bottman and Sainte Are in action in the £25,000, 2m5f novices’ handicap chase at Cheltenham and Ruby Bay making his handicap debut over fences at Uttoxeter under Christian Williams.

Bottman and Saint Are have both been in great form at home and though it looks a particularly competitive event with any number in with a chance, their form in novice chases this season looks strong and I am very hopeful that both can take a hand in the finish.

Ruby Bay (pictured left under Michael Byrne after a schooling session this morning) has done well since his last run and I am confident of an improved showing now that he is sent chasing – an Irish point winner in 2010, he is certainly bred for the job and has shown a real aptitude for chasing over the schooling fences at home.
