We are enjoying a very good time of it so far this month, with 6 winners from 18 runners, a strike-rate of 33%.

He had shown a strong level of form over the smaller obstacles in France in 2011/12, finishing fourth in Grade 1 company and placing at Listed level, so having got his career back on track over fences since joining us, yesterday’s contest looked a very good opportunity for further success. The latest of those came at Aintree yesterday, where the useful chaser Lamool was running over hurdles for the first time since September 2013.

Having been held up in recent starts, we decided to be more positive on him yesterday and, having bounced out in front, Lamool jumped very fluently throughout and was never in any danger, eventually drawing right away to win by an eased-down 11 lengths.

Congratulations to his owners Jeff and Rachel Frost!
