A very successful first day back from the National Hunt break, with Juno The Muffinman and Geminus providing us with a double at Plumpton on a day in which Welsh-trained horses took six of the eight races on the card!

Juno The Muffinman (above left) was a fair sort on the flat but he clearly appreciated the switch to hurdling, jumping and travelling well and responding to pressure in the last couple of furlongs. He looks a decent recruit and is certainly capable of adding to that win in the coming weeks.

Geminus (above right) has been a revelation since stepping up in trip and he recorded a hat-trick of handicap wins with another game display under Richard Johnson, who was very pleased with the performance. He is the type to continue improving and hopefully he can make it four in a row next time!
