We have had plenty of success at Fakenham this season and Jimbill was a very warm order to add another win to our total at the Norfolk track on his debut over hurdles on Monday.

A winner of a bumper on his debut under rules at Newton Abbot, he had run brilliantly in defeat at Cheltenham on his second start for us in the Listed bumper last month so it was no surprise to see him a short-priced favourite for his hurdles debut, but the manner of victory was very impressive and he confirmed himself to be a very useful individual for whom we can now set sights a little higher. The win also brought our record at Fakenham this season to 6 winners from 13 runners!

Jimbill could now step up in trip, with a visit to Cheltenham on New Year’s Day for the 2m4f novice hurdle a possibility and though short-term plans are fluid, we are all hoping he proves good enough to go there with a chance in March!
