Only one runner at Taunton yesterday, but it was a very popular one with J’Adhere finally getting his head in front for the first time in 18 months, in doing so providing his owners David & Sue Luke with the first winner in their colours.

A horse with plenty of ability, he can ruin his chance by pulling too hard and had climbed 12lbs in the handicap without winning in the last 12 months. However, held together under a good ride from Robert Kirk, he kept on really well to score in what looked a competitive handicap hurdle. Now that he has got his head in front let’s hope he can do so again next time!
