I was delighted to see so many of our owners and friends at our Owners day on Sunday. After some atrocious weather in the morning the yard resembled a swimming pool, but I am glad to say that the rain moved on to allow us to parade all the horses and a very enjoyable day was had by all. A big thank you to all the staff for putting in so much work in preparation for the day, and to our owners for braving the adverse conditions!

Four runners at Newton Abbot yesterday and a couple of good efforts in defeat. I was delighted with the run of Jan Jandura, who ran his best race for us on his second start in a handicap, only finding one too good in an 18-runner contest. Green Du Ciel probably bumped into one and he deserves to find a race.

Plenty in action on the gallops this morning, including last month’s Newton Abbot winner Saved By John (Rob Kirk) upsides Flemensgael (Mark Barber).

Several of our Doncaster purchases have now been sold, one notable exception being Saqil (pictured left), a well-bred and unexposed three year old who is ready to run and will go juvenile hurdling later this month – please call the office on 01446 771626 for further details!
