2013 bay gelding by Court Cave ex What A Princess (Alderbrook)

PRICE: 10% Shares at £1,800 + £195 a month

A smashing individual with plenty of class about him, this son of proven Grade 1 sire Court Cave (sire of Willougby Court, Court Minstrel, Champion Court etc.) has a good level of form over hurdles and recorded a career-best when winning at Worcester at the end of July off a mark of 110.

That game, front-running performance, which merited a Racing Post Rating of 118, showed that he is thriving at present and, being a tough, sound individual who is only getting better the more he runs and with his novice status still intact, he is a lovely prospect for novice hurdles this term, before going chasing in 2019/20.

A second foal (he is wrongly written up as a first foal on the Racing Post website), he has a wonderful National Hunt pedigree, being out of a half-sister to Grade 1 winner Fiveforthree and Hennessy/Aintree Bowl winner Celestial Gold. His dam is also a half-sister to the dams of Guinness Handicap Chase winner Klepht and dual Grade 1 chase winner No More Heroes, all of which gives further encouragement that there is more to come from this progressive five year old, especially when sent over fences next term.

He has settled in very well and is already being ridden, so he won’t take long and we’ll look to start him off in a novice hurdle at the end of the month. For a proven winner, and one that retains his novice status over hurdles through to next May, he looks excellent value.
