2013 bay filly by Ask ex Barchetta (Flemensfirth)

A beautifully-bred filly and by a sire making a real name for himself, this four year old has made a very bright start to her career, finishing runner-up in a point before filling the same position in a bumper at Stratford in June on her final outing for her previous connections.

Having benefitted from the experience behind one with considerable experience on her first completed start in May, she took a big step forward to finish second at Stratford and, beaten just a head, she looked unlucky not to win that day. Having travelled like much the best horse in the contest, she was undone by greenness and looks sure to progress again on the back of that run.

An attractive, scopey sort, she is the first foal of a half-sister to three black-type performers in Electric Concorde, William Henry and the high-class racemare Sesenta, who was not only a very useful hurdler but also landed the Ebor on the flat.

As just a four year old, there looks plenty more to come from Askphilmor and she looks the type to make up into a useful mare in the season ahead. We will look to win a bumper with her before heading into mares novice hurdles and she is a lovely prospect who looks tremendous value at just £17,500 + VAT.
