A really tough, honest five year old with winning form in the book on the flat, Adherence looks a well-handicapped horse over hurdles for the season ahead.

Successful at 1m5f/1m6f on soft/heavy ground on the level, he was given three qualifying runs over hurdles over the winter before making his handicap debut in February. Very well supported in the market on his second outing in handicaps, he looked sure to win when hitting the front between the last two flights, only to get caught on the run-in, but it transpired he had lost a shoe during the race and that was most probably the reason for the defeat.

The runner-up, Ange Des Malberaux, has since won two races for a new yard, going up 15lbs in the process and, having been nudged up just 1lb and still qualified to run in 0-100 company, Adherence looks very well-treated on that form.

We have just started to crack on with him and will have him ready to run over the winter. Looking at his form, there is little doubt that he is capable of winning both over hurdles and on the flat and he could just be the type to run up a sequence when he does return to the racecourse.

He looks a very cheap horse based on his form to date and, given he takes his racing well and looks sure to win races, he is the perfect syndicate horse for the season ahead.
