As many of you will know, I am a keen supporter of charity races, with opera singer and television presenter Shan Cothi having ridden Langely at Cheltenham last year, and Hawkhill having carried me to second place in Anthony Knott’s race in aid of Racing Welfare at Wincanton in December!
With the Festival now just over a month away, racehorse owner Mark Holder has been riding out with us in recent weeks in preparation for the St Patrick’s
Derby, in which he will be riding in aid of Cancer Rearch UK.
To prepare, he’s having to shed two stone in weight (something I know all about!) and get himself very fit. To help him,
we’ve ensured there has been no
breakfast on offer after each visit!
If you would like to
support him you can do so directly using the link below, or by letting me have a
cheque made payable to “Cancer Research UK” which I’ll forward to
him.
Everyone at the yard wishes Mark the best of luck at Cheltenham and we’ll be trying to find a suitable horse for him in the coming week.
