It has been a fantastic couple of weeks and, following the wins of George Woolf and Swift Escape at Taunton yesterday, we are now just four winners short of reaching 100 winners for the season for the first time.
George Woolf was having only his fifth start over hurdles and was supplementing his win in a Newton Abbot juvenile hurdle last autumn. He had derived considerable benefit from his comeback run at Sedgefield and given his inexperience I am confident there is more to come from him this summer.
Swift Escape was having just his second run and put up a really good performance to win the bumper under Robert Kirk. He showed he had progressed plenty since finishing third on his racecourse debut on very soft ground at Ffos Las earlier in the year and looks a really exciting prospect. He appears to have come out of the race very well and I am therefore looking at giving him an entry in the Grade 2 bumper at Aintree on Grand National day. Swift Escape is currently for sale at £25,000 – for further information, please contact either myself or Nathaniel in the office on 01446 771626.
