A smart novice handicap hurdler last season, Falcarragh finished in the frame twice at Cheltenham but failed to get his head in front.  However, the silver lining was another season in novice company and he showed the benefit of a good break since his last run in December with an authoritative display at Stratford yesterday under Richard Johnson.

He looked to get a little outpaced turning in but showed a good turn of foot to take up the running and stayed all the way to the line and I am sure he will be seen to better effect when back on a galloping track and with that reappearance run under his belt.  I was delighted for his owner Mike Stratford, as this was our first winner for him and at his local track too!
Over at Worcester, I was very pleased with the effort of Hunting Tower who, for the second race in succession, found only a well-backed favourite too good.  He really deserves to find a race in the coming weeks.
