We have had two exciting new recruits join the yard in recent days and I am pleased to say both are for sale!

Captain Moonman is a terrific addition to the team, as he showed a very high level of form in three starts in Irish points, with a 7l 3rd to Our Island on his second start followed by a very impressive win on his final run in a race that worked out particularly well, with subsequent point and impressive dual bumper winner Mount Benbulben (subsequently fetched £250,000 at the Cheltenham sales in April) back in 2nd and four other winners in behind. He will go straight into training with a view to running in a bumper before a novice hurdling campaign and he is a potentially top-class prospect.

Elsafeer was a bumper winner in 2009 and returned from a spell pointing to finish 2nd in a maiden hurdle before bolting up by a distance in a 2m4f novice event at Uttoxeter last month, with a 111-rated rival a long way back in second. Looks potentially well-treated on an initial handicap mark of 118 and hopefully he can win some good races over hurdles before going chasing next season when he really should come into his own. He is entered this week, is ready to run and looks sure to go on to further success this season.

We have two runners at Worcester this afternoon with both Tara Warrior and Tae Kwon Do bidding to supplement recent wins, while tomorrow we have seven in action, with five going to Ffos Las and two heading to the slightly less-local Cartmel!
