IMG_2323Following some very good placed efforts in the spring and early summer, Dubh Eile returned from a short break yesterday with a career-best effort on her first try at three miles, winning well at Southwell under Alan Johns.

Jumping and travelling well through the first half of the race, she briefly looked to be outpaced rounding the home bend, but her stamina kicked in over the final couple of flights and, hitting the front before the last, she kept on in great style to record her third win over hurdles.

It was an excellent run and, now that her stamina is proven over three miles, she has plenty more options in the season ahead.
