Alltimegold is really thriving at present and the six year old recorded the hat-trick at Warwick yesterday under a confident Connor Brace, who sent the son of Gold Well into the lead down the back straight and never got serious with him, despite a brief challenge from the runner-up after the final fence. He is due to go up a further 2lbs from Saturday and will get another rise for this win, but we will now look to run him back over hurdles at Bangor next week, as he is currently rated 13lbs lower in that sphere. Well done to his owners Brian and Wayne Jones.
Three Colours Red had shown plenty of promise on his first start for us at Worcester earlier this month and he duly built on that when winning yesterday, showing a very willing attitude under Morgan Winstone to fend off a persistent challenger, the pair drawing nine lengths clear of the third. Morgan’s parents are involved in the ownership of the horse, so it was extra special for Morgan to get his first jumps winner under rules for them. He shouldn’t get too much of a rise for that and we’ll look for a similar contest for him next time.
