With the majority of our team for the winter months a week or two off a run, it was a quiet weekend for the yard, with just one runner at Chepstow on Saturday.  It was a good day nevertheless, as Hidden Identity marked her return from her summer break with a very promising win in the 2m4f handicap hurdle.

Ridden patiently by Aidan Coleman, she was one of the first under pressure entering the straight and had the whole field to pass, but she stayed on particularly strongly and a very quick jump at the last gave a her a narrow advantage over the runner-up that she maintained to the line.
The plan had been to start her off over fences this season, so this was a real bonus, but she is now likely to go chasing and I hope she can make further progress in that sphere.  Congratulations to her owner Paul Bowtell, who has some exciting prospects with us for 2013/14.
