Debece had hosed up in a bumper at Market Rasen on his latest start in March and we were looking forward to seeing him make his debut over hurdles yesterday.

Racing prominently throughout under Alan Johns, he put in a very good round of jumping, with just the one mistake in the back straight, and hit the front travelling strongly before the second last.  He jumped the last two very well and powered clear to win by 8 lengths.

He will now have his summer break, but I am already looking forward to seeing him back and hopefully he can make his mark up in grade when he returns.  Congratulations to his owner Robert Kirkland!

13096318_10154758624547388_9006373898066979682_nFalcarragh  has been a really fun horse for his owner Mike Stratford, and he was registering his sixth win for Mike when narrowly getting the better of a good tussle up the home straight in what was a very eventful handicap hurdle.

Travelling well throughout, Alan was keen to delay his challenge until the last and, with a loose horse to help him home, the pair held on by a neck.

We had been waiting for his ground for some time, so it was great to see him bounce back to form and hopefully he can be very competitive again on his next outing.
