C2tohh8WIAAHJL8[1]A day on from an across-the-card double courtesy of Tanit River and Fields Of Glory, Dadsintrouble became our 52nd winner of the National Hunt season with an impressive display at Haydock Park on Saturday.

A faller when travelling well on his previous outing at Cheltenham, he had been given plenty of time to get over that and, held up in rear by Alan Johns, he travelled well throughout and started making headway four out.

Despite a mistake at the third last, he soon came through to take up the running at the next flight and drew clear after the last, winning by a very comfortable six lengths.

He has been raised 12lbs for that win, but I am confident there is plenty more to come from him and we will look for a similar contest in mid-February.  I am delighted for his owner Paul Bowtell, who also had a third with Hidden Identity at Chepstow on Friday.
