Canton Prince has improved no end since returning from a summer break and the five year old son of Shantou looks a young novice going places now, maintaining his unbeaten record over hurdles with a ready success at Worcester yesterday.

Racing keenly throughout under Richard Johnson, Canton Prince took up the running on the turn for home and, as he had done at Fontwell Park on his hurdling debut earlier this month, he cleared right away after the last, winning by eight lengths.

Richard was impressed by the performance and, with three quick wins now under his belt, Canton Prince looks ready for a step up in grade next time, though we’ll wait until the handicapper gives him a mark on Tuesday before deciding where he goes next. Congratulations to his owners Tertia Racing!
