CqUtDw6WAAAj3CeBleu Et Noir has really developed into a useful young novice this season and he recorded his third win from his last four starts with an all-the-way success at Newton Abbot yesterday under Alan Johns.

Taken on for the lead at Stratford earlier in the month on his return from a two-month absence, Alan Johns sent him into a clear early advantage this time and, jumping slickly throughout, the pair never looked in danger of getting beaten, the winning margin a very comfortable two and a half lengths. He is pictured right, in the stable yard after what was his third novice success of the campaign.

He is likely to head into handicap company now and that will represent another test off his mark of 130, but he continues to progress and, still only a five year old, I hope he is capable of landing a nice prize this season.  Congratulations to his owner Alan Peterson!
