We have started the season in great form and recorded our 10th and 11th winners of the month with Whatshallwedo and Solaras Exhibition at Sedgefield yesterday.

Both won impressively, with Whatshallwedo supplementing his win at the same course a week ago. He had won his first two starts for us before going slightly off the boil, but he has come back revitalised from a break and he is a fast-improving handicap chaser, though life will undoubtedly be much tougher for him when he has been re-assessed.

Solaras Exhibition has not had everything go his way in recent starts, being forced to make his own running when winning at Plumpton two starts back and again at Wincanton last time, where he didn’t handle the soft ground.

Back on a sound surface and dropped in off a good gallop, he looked a different horse and ended up winning very well in the 2m1f handicap hurdle. We had put him in a £16,000 handicap hurdle at Ffos Las on Tuesday just in case and, given he has come out of the race very well, there is a good chance he could make a quick reappearance there.
