Alborz became our sixth winner from 13 runners in the last fortnight when winning in great style at Ffos Las on Monday under a good, front-running ride from Cathy Gannon.

The horses are in great form at present and, though Alborz was disappointing on his first run over hurdles on his previous start, he had been in good nick at home and it was no surprise to see him bounce back, having shown promise on the level at Bath back in June.

We have a busy day tomorrow, with a runner on the flat at Chepstow (Tae Kwon Do in the maiden handicap, who should have a great chance), four down at Fontwell and Piment D’Estruval going for a second win over hurdles at Stratford.
