Having purchased eight at DBS last month, we acquired another six at Goffs this week and, having seen them arrive this morning, I am delighted with the week’s work!
Our most expensive lot was a 68,000Euro son of Beneficial out of the useful racemare Zalda, placed in Grade 2 company over hurdles.
We also acquired another son of Beneficial for 30,000Euro, out of an unraced daughter of Leading Counsel, herself a full sister to the smart chaser Green Belt Flyer and Munster National winner Treacle.
Our first purchase was a 30,000Euro gelding by Flemensfirth from the family of Galway Hurdle winner Indian Pace and we paid the same amount for a full-brother to Grade 2 hurdler Island Life, by Turtle Island and for a Tobougg half-brother to the recent £110,000 ex-Irish pointer Champagne At Tara.
I was also delighted to secure the French-bred Kauto Bis Kauto, a son of Priolo out of a half-sister to superstar Kauto Star and multiple Grade 1 winner Kauto Stone.
